The Hayden Robotics team from the Dr Frank J. Hayden high school took the month of March by a storm! While attending school, they managed to check off many of their goals for the First Robotics competition. One of those goals happened to be scoring in the top 3 at the Durham College event!
The Hayden Robotics do not take competitions lightly and being rookies doesn’t matter to them! That kind of attitude, along with their hard work, is what won them silver at their first event for the First Robotics competition!
In addition, joining the Blue Alliance which includes team 772 Sabre Bytes and team 2200 MMRambotic proved to be a really good strategy as together, they were able to win enough battles to get them to the finish line!

What Is This For?
In case you’ve missed a few of our posts discussing this, here’s a brief explanation: the Hayden Robotics are working on a robot to compete at the First Robotics’ Steamworks competition. The competition involves robots, steam machines, and airships. The goal for it is to get as many points as possible from scoring balls inside steam machines and from securing gear on airships with the help of their robots. To get to the finals, the teams have to score in the top of their regional events, Hayden Robotics have done that so they are flying their way to the finals!
We are extremely proud of the team and we wish them the best of like at finals!
