When storing your portable generator for a month or more, adhere to the recommendations in the user's manual. This includes disconnecting the battery and connecting it to a 12v battery tender to maintain its charge. Leaving the battery connected during prolonged storage may lead to its depletion and irreversible damage. For shorter storage durations, it's advisable to at least detach one of the battery terminals to reduce the discharge speed, ensuring maximum battery lifespan.
